The initial interview is an extremely important element of any examination. Information provided during the initial interview can save significant time and effort in unnecessary examination steps.
In addition to the general items usually covered, specific questions relating to the practice of veterinary medicine should be included in the interview as well. As an audit aid, Exhibit 3 3 includes a listing of specific questions that may be appropriate. The list is not all-inclusive and some of the questions may not be pertinent in all examinations. The initial interview should be tailored to the taxpayer under examination. -irs.gov- |
