The Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations (FAVA) is an organization representing seventeen countries in the Asia Pacific Region with a membership in excess of 75,000 veterinarians. Since formation in 1978, FAVA has sought to develop linkages to enable the veterinarians of the region to exchange ideas and information related to veterinary science.

The Congress will be held on 27-28-29 October 2008 in Bangkok, Thailand. The congress has adopted the theme "Food Safety: Veterinary Roles for the World Kitchen" and will consist of scientific program, sport and tours.
