The ASPCA Mobile Veterinary Clinic Program is a unique community outreach program that offers free and low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations to low income pet owners who are residents of the five boroughs. The ASPCA is dedicated to making New York a no-kill city, and a safer, healthier environment for the companion animals that already have homes. The ASPCA is in need of highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic per diem Veterinary Technicians to join the committed Mobile Clinic team!
The general purpose of a Veterinary Technician’s job is to assist the Veterinarian in all aspects of veterinary care (i.e., surgery, intensive care, pre- and post-operative care, emergency care, restraint and treatment). Qualifications: * Excellent and fast surgical prep skills, including animal restraint, intubating, blood draws, post surgery monitoring. * Professional client service skills * Must be licensed * Ability to travel to mobile clinic location Benefits: * Start at 8:00 am, end by 4:30 pm * Work with great technicians and veterinarians * Help animals whose owners cannot afford spay/neuter surgery or vaccinations |
