Healthy Paws Veterinary Center is a full service small animal startup practice with a projected opening date mid-Oct / early November, 2008 pending completion of our 5200 SF state-of-the-art facility full of windows and natural sunlight. We are also excited about our “paperless” environment using fully integrated electronic medical records & digital radiology which eliminates the constant search for paper files and X-ray films. Successful applicant must be a high school graduate and have a minimum of 2 years experience providing client service as a receptionist in a veterinary hospital. Additional education or training is a plus, but we will provide ongoing veterinary training to ensure your success.

Desired computer skills include competency with the Windows Operating System, MS Word and Excel. Previous experience with veterinary software is a plus but not required.

The job will focus on providing superb client service at our front desk/reception. Duties include (but are not limited to) greeting clients, checking in patients, marketing beneficial products and services, preparing hospital forms, entering data into our electronic medical record system, coordinating patient care with our Patient Care Team and veterinarians, verifying accurate charging, taking payments, discharging patients, closing daily receipts and phone reception.

We are looking for a motivated and innovative receptionist who can propose and implement new ways to make the practice run smoothly. Individual’s schedule will be full-time. Hours of hospital operation are 7:30/8am -6 pm, M-F and 8 am - 12:30 pm on Saturday, one weekday evening until 8pm.
