All Pets Veterinary Hospital is a full service veterinary facility specializing in total care for everyone's pets. All Pets' unique combination of board certified veterinarians, state of the art facilities, and advanced diagnostics enable the most comprehensive care for the pets of the community. We are currently looking to expand our team by bringing on a new Veterinary Technician.
The veterinary technician is the primary support to doctors and patients.
Responsibilities of the Veterinary Technician include, but are not limited to:- Working predominantly with dogs and cats
- Performing standard patient care:
- SQ Injections
- IV Injections
- Placement of IV catheters
- Drawing blood
- Animal restraint
- X-Rays
- Surgery prep
- Monitoring patients
- Assist in the exam room
- Obtaining pet's weight and temperature
- Performing routine suture, bandage, and nail trims
- Treating medical and surgical patients
- Assisting in taking, developing, and maintaining radiograph files and then accurately record data in the medical record and/or log books
- Delivering vaccinations and perform vaccine clinic
- Performing Surgery Room Assistant duties
- Maintaining adequate inventory supplies
Requirements: The Veterinary Technician must:- Posess good client communication
- Posess basic telephone and computer skills
- Be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously
- Be able to pay attention to detail
- Be able to respond quickly and calmly to crises
- Maintain very high standards of patient
- Effectively communicate with well with clients, showing care and concern for their pets
- Be available to work some Saturdays (typically three in a month)
- Work every seventh to eighth Sunday
- Have at least one year of experience
- Be a team player
Hours of Operation
7AM - 8PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
8AM - 4PM SATURDAY
