AAHA certified, busy small animal companion animal practice is seeking the right individual to join our staff of 3 veterinarians and 18 employees for full time veterinary nursing work. We are very proud of our hospital, our clients and our patients, and strive to provide the best care for our patients along with personal and compassionate client education. The right applicant should be searching for a long-term career in the veterinary field, with the patience and skills to deal with an ever-changing daily routine. Applicant skills should include great communication, ability to work well with others, and the ability to learn new techniques. Computer skills are a plus, as we are a paperless practice, and typing is necessary. Certification is not a requirement, however we are looking for someone experienced in the small-animal, private practice nursing field, who is looking for a place to grow, to be challenged and to establish a professional home as a veterinary technician. Duties include patient care, anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, client education, radiology and laboratory work as well as assisting the doctor.
